There is a strong relationship between cigarette smoking and various illnesses like cancer, strokes, and cardiovascular and respiratory disease. Cancers of the larynx, breast, mouth, esophagus and lungs are only some of the usual categories of cancer associated with smoking. Doctors’ states that the harmful and addictive chemicals found in cigarettes have increased the risk of death due to health problems. Tobacco contains small amounts of nicotine, a substance that acts as a stimulant on the heart and other organs. Nicotine also stimulates the nervous system, causing many people to become addicted to it. Aside from nicotine, other chemicals found in tobacco ammonia, acetone, arsenic, butane, cadmium, carbon monoxide, DDT and others. These chemicals are found in industrial factories and are being utilized as cleaning agents, poison, fuel, solvents and components for plastics. Respiratory diseases due to smoking are also on the rise. The number of deaths in emphysema reveals that 85% were smokers. According to the World Health Organization, tobacco is the second leading cause of death in the world.
